The 1980s, a decade of kaleidoscopic colour epitomised by Jane Fonda aerobics videos, sci-fi cinema, Smash Hits and the launch of MTV. This vibrance reflected an unashamedly fun pop scene in a decade in which Thriller, Madonna and Stock Aitken Waterman dominated the charts. Soft Cell's Marc Almond, Bananarama, Rick Astley, Bryan Adams, Bob Geldof and Shirlie Holliman from Pepsi & Shirlie help Paul Gambaccini to paint a colourful picture of pop in the 80s.
